So far in Microsociety we have been learning about scarcity.Scarcity means a limited amount of resources.To understand this, we played a fun activity called the shape game. Each group was given a pack.Most would have included a pencil, paper, maybe a compass, maybe a ruler, and one or more counters.Some groups got countless resources, while others got barely anything. In the end, it helped us realise that some places in the world have many things; others don't have much at all.

We read a short story about a planet, called JUSTENUF,

in

which they have all the resources they have, until one day.They are low on supplies and can't decide how the captain should divide it.Different people voted different things.

After that, we designed our own flags and society names. I have been thinking of Wakatania fo about a month and after some time, my group agreed with it.Our flag had a big diamond in the middle representing different things in colours. On the outside of it, there were different things symbolising peace. Fortunately(and my heart was beating when I heard this), our name got picked.

In the end, I learnt two important life lessons: that different countries have different amounts of resources;that using my brain actually pays off and it makes me indeed happy!
