Shipwrecked

I lay stranded on a deserted island in the Atlantic ocean. I was studying the ocean from the deck when a colossal shark pierced through the boat creating a massive hole in the hull. The crew was a group of five men, one which drowned and another who froze of hypothermia. Me and the other survivors(James and Tom) swam to this island and scavenged for sticks to make a fire for the night. Finding sticks wasn't a challenge as they're scattered around everywhere. We managed to burn the sticks as Tom had a lighter and crafted a makeshift bow and stock of arrows for each of us to hunt dinner. James, Tom and I were quite wealthy but we were no millionaires. Dinner was a huge salmon I killed with my bow. Leaves were used to make our beds under a wooden canopy.

The blazing sun glared down on the lonely island as we woke up. The ship was still in sight and floated on the waterbed. All I had was a small pocketknife. A copse of palm trees planted on emerald grass swayed in the vigorous wind. The sapphire ocean shimmered in the luminous rays of the burning sun, reflecting the image of our timber cabin. We survived on the island for two months until one bright morning a chrome silver engine drifted to the golden sand shore. James and I thought of an idea to make a helicopter as we saw some rotor blades and control panel on the shore. Then Tom was finally convinced to make a mini helicopter.

James was an engineer and told us to find aluminium to make the helicopter as it was light. We reinforced the aluminium with some durable wood and constructed three oak seats. The titanium control panel as shiny as a diamond gleamed in the fiery sun. I had piloted a helicopter before so I flew the helicopter. It took one day to get to land. We found ourselves on the rocky shores of Australia. Now we had to get back to England, but that is a story for another day.
