On the third week of Advent,

Three candles helped me see

The light of His glory,

Rose and purple ribbons,

And a wreath

From an evergreen tree.

On the fourth week of Advent,

Four candles helped me see

The coming of Lord Jesus,

The light of His glory,

Rose and purple ribbons,

And a wreath

From an evergreen tree.

Finally it's Christmas,

Five candles help me see

The NAT-IV-IT-Y,

The coming of Lord Jesus,

The light of His glory,

Rose and purple ribbons,

And a wreath

From an evergreen tree.
