It was mostly only rich boys who went to school in the 17th century. Rich girls were taught by tutors. Most other children went to work.





The Golden Age of Piracy started in the 17th Century. Pirates would raid Spanish, French

and English ships for the huge amount of gold and treasure contained within.



English settlers arrived in North America in the 17th Century. They founded the settlements of Roanoake, New England and Virginia.
