The Jesse Tree

The Jesse tree is Jesus' family tree and is important because it proves how Jesus comes from the family line of King David which, according to the prophets, would prove that Jesus was the Messiah or Saviour that they had been waiting for. At the start of Matthews Gospel, he wrote down the Jesse tree to make sure that the people who were reading it knew that Jesus was the Saviour and to prove it to those who didn't belive it. It is also a good way to inform those who did not know about who Jesus' anscestors were and how they were all good people and worshippers of God, which would prove that Jesus was the Messiah because God would have chosen his family line because of how good they were.

The Jesse tree is also fun to make and is a nice c

Christmas and religous tradition as it takes alot of reaserch to find out all of Jesus' anscestors and they're symbols!I do hope that you have enough tissue paper to make the trunk and branches because they can sometimes be a bit tricky. My advice on that would be to remember to twist the tissue paper.

I hope you have learnt lots about the Jesse tree and will try out the Christmas tradition this Christmas.
