what is immigration?
Immigration is when you live in one country and move to another in our case Scotland...people can move to Scotland and people came move away from Scotland for many reasons such as war, money, jobs, family, houses, friend, landscape,
education and potentially more reasons.
Scotland has been home to people from other countries for centuries.
Lots of Italians came over in 1890
They also brought good food over like pizza, ice cream and cheese.
They also opened cafes and ice cream parlours.
If they didn't come over we woudn't have ice cream and more.

The Irish are the biggest group of immigrants to ever come to Scotland.

For 400 years Rome brought ''unity and order to Britian which it never had before". In other words before the Romans we had no nationality and people were all just in small tribes.

Some people might say that immigration is bad and it can affect the country and then other people say that people should come to our country ...

Some solutions are to build more houses so more people can live here and also by building houses that will open more jobs
because you need someone to build them.
We could also have more schools so children can have a good education no matter where you are from in the world.
We could also have more shops and having more shops means more jobs and money for the people who move here.
Finally we think you could make sure that you educate everyone about immigration so that they can make up their own mind and know what they are talking about.
