My Charity Bake

I have chosen to raise money for Blood Cancer UK because my nanny had Leukaemia which is a form of Blood Cancer. She died in October last year. So we are raising money so that we can donate money to this charity to help find a cure.

I'd like to bake biscuits for my charity bake. They are choc chip shortbread biscuits which my dad calls 'Numnums'.

The recipe is very easy, for 48 biscuits you need:

• 250g butter
• 400g Plain Flour
• 100g Caster sugar
• 300g Chocolate

The cost of making 48 biscuits is £3.17. I worked out that I could triple the recipe at a cost of £9.51. That would make 144 biscuits.

We would sell the biscuits in pretty bags of 6 at a cost of £2.00 a bag. That would make 24 bags. 24 x £2.00 = £48.00
