An Unhappy Event

Alice was blissfully riding her bike down the narrow streets of the London countryside, having a nice journey. But little did she know this would be her last. Alice was perfectly aware that there was a ramp heading her way but just thought that she would get off before arriving at the edge of the ramp.

As she was approaching, she didn't pay attention

Her heart was pounding, her feet were racing, so fast that if one would merely touch them, they would not have that body part ever. There was a lamppost heading her way.
