The science of slime

We all know the newest craze that's taking over the schools in England. Slime. What I'm about to do is reveal the science of slime, and more importantly, how to make a perfect batch of it.

Lets start from what a non-Newtonian fluid is.This means that the fluid turns into a solid when pressure is applied to it. Simple enough, right? Now for the difficult part. Polymers. Polymers are made from a long repeating chain of monomers. They are a essential part of slime. Anyway, this means that the more you mix slime, the thicker it gets. If its too thick( an incredible feat) just add a small drop of vinegar.

In the comments below, tell me your favourite type of slime- gooey, watery, fluffy or hard- and why.

P.S. My next post will be which ingredients are the best to slime and why.
