On Wednesday 5th of November something astonishing happened! For are homework we were asked to make a cardboard house the size of are hand which I thought was very small. My overall model took roughly an hour to design, build and make. When I started my house I was so excited and couldn't wait to get creative. My finished model was a petite black and white Tudor cottage.

Once I had completed my model I couldn't wait for the big day to arrive. I felt mixed emotions at different times. Mrs Tigg led us out to the play ground where all the fun was about to start. Mrs Nanndah and Mrs Tigg were holding all the houses on a cardboard which were all stuck together. Meanwhile the other year five class came and also put there houses down on the ground. Mr Odesho told all us to stand two metres back for saftey just in case anyone got hurt. Before we started the fire Mr Odesho poored white spirit all over the houses, to help the fire grow bigger and stronger.

Mrs Tigg took the box of matchers and lit a tall and scarlet-coloured house right in the center of the village. Everyone was silent trying to keep there feelings to themselves until they saw the vicious fire shoot up almost to one meter. All of us started to scream in excitement. We were all ecstatic and couldn't believe our eyes.

The fire was flaming and started to grow. The fire started to spread rapidly, from the center of the village. My house was one of the last to burn down. Mrs Laurence and Ms Kolanoska came to check on the burning fire.

However the aggressive fire was fading away, loads of houses were burnt down and instead of sixty houses standing ,there was just a large pile of dull and grey ashes and ripped cardboard. At the end of the fire I put myself into the peoples position and imagined how it would feel if I was in The Great Fire of London. I felt upset and sorry for the people that were in the Great fire. How would you feel if you were in the fire?
