Method

We held the car over the same pencil mark on the wooden plank for each drop we did. To get a completely fair test result we dropped the car three times and averaged the length and speed out. We averaged the length and speed out by adding all three of them together and dividing them by three. We did this method on all five of our tests to make sure they were fair.

Conclusion

I found out in my experiment that the further the car went the more time it took. I was right in my prediction with the first two slowest surfaces were grass and carpet. This was because there was more friction. I was incorrect on the order of the last three surfaces. I predicted that the car would travel furthest on the pavement but it actually travelled furthest on the block paving, but I was correct on saying the decking would be second furthest.

The experiment was very fun and I enjoyed it!
