While we were looking at microsociety we played games and read a story.

The story was about the planet Justenuf and how it turned into the planet Notenuf at the end because they didn't use their resources wisely.The game we played was called the shape game.We needed to make shapes and then give the shapes into the banker to get points. Whoever had the most points at the end of the game would win.Our table came second. We also decided our society's name and flag "Solar Monarchs".

Now I am going to show you the difference between a 1st world country and a 3rd world country.A 1st world country has more or enough resources. A third world country doesn't. Now I'm going to talk about scarcity. Scarcity is about where you don't have enough of something. So, for example we don't have enough palm oil because people are using it in peanut butter, chocolate and processed foods. While we played the shape game we experienced scarcity.

I also want to talk about me because I got a lot of understanding from that lesson because now I know that wants are endless and needs aren't. My needs are shelter,family,love,clear running water and enough food. People's wants include gadgets,cigarettes,alcohol and caffeine (though my dad would say caffeine is a need).I want to change by recycling more and asking for fewer presents.
