This poem by Robert Burns is called 'Selkirk Grace'.

It is a well-known poem said before meals. It is usually said after guests have sat down to enjoy a Burns Night supper, before the first course is served.

Some hae meat and canna eat,

And some wad eat that want it;

But we hae meat, and we can eat,

Sae let the Lord be thankit.

What do you think the poem is saying?

What happens on Burns night?

Why do you think the Scots are so proud of Robert Burns?
