The Year 5 pupils set off on their residential trip to France at 7:30am this morning. They had a good crossing on the ferry from Dover and arrived safely in Calais. They did a sightseeing tour in the town of St Omer this afternoon and paid a visit to the Notre Dame Cathedral there. The children lit candles and walked the Stations of the Cross.  They visited a boulangerie (bakery) where they were given money to buy croissants using their French language skills! Afterwards, they made their way to their accommodation 'Le Chateau' and have just sat down to dinner.  They've had a big day and will no doubt sleep well tonight!
