Refugee's Rights to happiness

By Joshua Gordon

During the cold winter of December 18 2019

a young man named Alem, who is a 14 year

is a refugee from Eritrea and Ethiopia

has come to England and he has loads of

supporters such as school friends or people

he hasn't seen before. He has done a march

in Newham Town, London on the 12th of

January 2019 and his friend Robert stated

he has helped him a lot things such as

asking people to sign posters to show the

government that refugee's deserve to stay

somewhere safe which is at London. And

his foster parents ( Mr and Mrs Fitzgerald)

made him feel at home and make him feel

comfortable and his half sister Ruth has

made him feel comfortable as well by

making a family picture desktop onto his

computer so he dosen't forget his Mum and

and Dad because they have unfortunately

passed away. Mrs fitzgerald said this when

Alem found out that his mom died " He was

screaming he was jus-... not happy, at all

and it's my job to make him feel at home

and make him feel comfortable in any way

possible." Alem's half sister (ruth) also

stated that he's probably the best child

she could make happy straight away.

During his march, people in van said

" March somewhere else, or maybe march

where you belong.
