The characters are Oliver, a mermaid called 'Iris', a haughty bird called 'Mr Culpeper' , Oliver's parents and a Rambling Isles whom Oliver called 'Cliff'.

This book is about a ten year old boy called Oliver who lost his parents on a moving island and meets three funny friends to help him on his adventure for his parents.

It is hard to make the choice,I liked the book.

However because I have to choose it would

probably be when the author introduced Mr

Culpeper because I liked the way Mr Culpeper

was described.

Another part I really enjoyed is when met Cliff

because how many times have you read about

a talking, moving island . The answer is not

very likely! This book is very different and

exciting. This is why I like the book.
