Tara's Giant Swing Adventure!

The metal clicked shut. I felt the harness dig into my thighs, we were swung of our feet as Mark-our instructor swept the trolley out from beneath us. There was no turning back. On the out side I was grinning, but on the inside my mind was bellowing "chicken out, chicken out." I didn't want to and I knew I couldn't turn back. As we were hoisted up, I didn't dare look down; I knew I would shout stop if I did. I gave Maisy-Jo a nervous smile and She smiled back. Although I was desperately trying to hide it I knew she could see the nerves bubbling inside me. I felt many things: excitement, terror, joy and nerves. As we reached the top, I delicately held the rope. I glanced at Maisy to see her looking back. She nodded, I nodded back. "3, 2, 1." I pulled. With a sharp jolt we plummeted down then shot up like a free bird. I grinned and Maisy screamed. It was actually extremely fun. (If you ignore the thigh pains) I no longer felt fear at all, all I felt was proud. I had done it! After 2 goes I still wanted more. I couldn't believe I had ever been afraid.
