JAM TARTS




YOU WILL NEED:

a jar of jam,

150g/5.3oz plain flour,

75g/2.6oz butter or margarine cut into small cubes,

1tbsp of sugar,

a little water,

mixing bowl,

sieve,

tablespoon,

teaspoon,

rolling pin,

round pastry cutter,

baking tray greased with a little bit of butter




INSTRUCTIONS:





1.preheat the oven to 190'c,380'f or gas mark 5.

2.sift the flour and sugar into the mixing bowl

and add the cubes of butter or margarine.

3.rub everything together until the mixture

looks like breadcrumbs.

4.mix in some cold water one table spoon at a time

(if it gets to sticky add some flour)

5.sprinkle some flour on a clean surface and roll out the

pastry.

6.cut out as many circles as you can and put them in the

greased baking tray.

7.add one teaspoon of jam to each pastry case.

8.put them in the oven for 5mins until they are golden brown.

9.when they are ready leave them to cool.
