The Storm

Jennifer Rockelle was sitting at her desk in her office. She was working on very important papers, when her boss came in. "Jen, we all have to go, there's a terrible storm coming on, you better hurry," he said. So she started to hurriedly shove all her things in a bag, when there was a bang and the power cut.

She was staring into pitch darkness. Jennifer went on searching hurriedly for her things, the sound of the rumbling thunder panicking her even more. At last she found what she wanted and rushed quickly out of the building. The storm had gotten even worse by the time she got outside. The streets were completely flooded up to her knees, the rain drenched everything it found, and the worst thing was that Jen didn't have an umbrella with her!

The cars splashed water all over her and with her hand covering her head, she sprinted to her car. In the hurry, Jennifer dropped her car keys! Since the water was almost two feel deep, there was really no hope in finding them. What was she going to do?! Lightning forked across the sky, as if it wanted to make poor Jen even more scared.! "Ok! My hose isn't too far from here," she thought. So she decided to walk home. It was a very dangerous decision, but it was the best she could think of!

She ran and ran, until she didn't have any more energy left. There was a bus stop and she stopped there to rest. Poor Jen burst into tears, she felt hopeless! But not all hope was lost. A car stopped and a man came out. He had recognized that she was in trouble. So he offered to give her a ride home. In Jenny's eyes, this man was an angel in disguise. She didn't hesitate and accepted with tears of joy in her eyes.

He took her home and she couldn't stop thanking him. "Someday I would like to repay you back!" Jen shouted as she waved to the man. The day after, the storm was over. Everything was fine now, her car keys were found, there was no damage caused to her car, but most of all she was safe and sound. Jenny was so so grateful for that man noticing her when he did, as he saved her life. "I'll repay him someday, I'm sure I will," she thought as she sighed and continued her dinner.
