Reflection is the process of light bouncing off an object or surface. Only shiny objects like metal reflect light. If the shiny object is in the Sun, it will reflect light well. Rough and dull objects do not reflect light.

When rays of light reflect, they obey the law of reflection: The angle of the incidence always equals the angle of reflection.

These photos shows me carrying out the light reflection investigation. It was easy to shine the torch onto a spot of my chosen target. Things were pretty straightforward when using only the mirror. However, we I added in the flattened foil along with the mirror it became harder to hit the target.

The angle of incidence is the angle between the normal line and the incident ray of light.
