Special visitor from the Society of the Sacred Heart

Today we welcomed Sister Cecile Meijer from the Society of the Sacred Heart. Sister Cecile has a very special job - she is an NGO representative at the United Nations in New York and she lobbies UN officials about the development needs of countries around the world. She has been visiting schools in the Sacred Heart Network in the UK and today she met with students from Years 5 and 6 and talked about her role at the UN. The children listened with interest and discussed with her what it meant to be a Rights Respecting School and told her how we take part in Model United Nations' debates. She also got to have a tour of the school and met all our animals! She has asked if some children could write a piece for her web site - here is a link to her web site at the UN.
