Please find the suggested activities for home learning for this week:
ENGLISH
READING
Please continue to read daily with your child using their school readers, home books or an online platform such as Get Epic www.getepic.com or Oxford Owl www.oxfordowl.co.uk (Choose the stage your child is reading at and then choose the titles to read.) You will be able to access a wide
selection of ebooks to support your child.
Complete the reading comprehension in your pack on the Town
Mouse and the Country Mouse. Read the text together with your
Mum or Dad and answer the questions. Please use a full sentence for
children with 3* questions.
We will once again be working on fluency and performing our reading
in the live meetings this week.
WRITING -
PLEASE TURN OVER
Read the powerpoint telling the story of the Town Mouse and
the Country Mouse. (Attachment on the email). Cut and stick
the pictures in sequence to retell the story.
Use the picture board to write the story of the Town Mouse and the
Country Mouse. Use full sentences with a capital letter to start,
finger spaces and a full stop to finish.
Listen to the story of 'The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse'
by clicking on the link. Write a character description on either Toby
Town Mouse or Pipin Country Mouse. Choose the mouse you want to
describe, colour, cut and stick on the recording sheet. Describe his
appearance and his character. Use full sentences.
Complete the grammar sheet on capital letters for names and I and capitals and full stops.
