The Westbourne Chronicle

Last Friday, the whole school wore ridiculous hats to raise money for Comic Relief. Comic Relief is a UK charity that raises money for people who may be homeless or without food. The pupils showed off their hats in assembly and teachers chose a winner from each class. The overall winner was then selected by the school council. They chose a hat that looked like a bowl of spaghetti with meatballs! An amazing amount of work went into making the incredible hats and a grand total of £353 was collected for charity. The teachers also wore some pretty crazy hats and we all had a lot of fun. To end the assembly, the winning joke from last issue's competition was announced. The joke was, 'How do you arrange a space party? Planet!'
