G.P. Taylor

G.P. Taylor is one of the most popular children writers in the United Kingdom as his books/novels are very interesting and mysterious.

His real name is Graham Peter Taylor and he was born in 1958 in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Even though he is a successful writer before taking up this full time job he was a: police officer, motorcyclist, former rock band member and so on. He then became a Christian and became the vicar of his village.

His books are so extravagant that a few of them have been translated into various different languages, even one having forty-eight languages for everyone to enjoy. Around 2002, a woman heard Taylor speak at his church and suggested that he write a book. Inspired by her words and his interest in the occult, he wrote what became Shadowmancer in about nine months. Set in the 1750s in the Yorkshire coast in England, the novel's story focused on two children, Kate and Thomas, who become friends with an Ethiopian teen who is in England looking for a fragment of the Ark of the Covenant taken from his tribe. Major characters also included a reverend, Obadiah Demurrel, who made a deal with the Devil and wanted to take over the world beginning in Scarborough. Teachers in a few of the classes at our school, ‘St Paul’s & All Hallows Academy Trust’ have chosen a few children in the school to go and meet G.P. Taylor and get his autograph in one of his books. Lucky us!!!!!!!!
