Facts about a deer

They live in woods and grasslands of mild regions such as

Northern Europe and North America.

We can call a deer an Antelope. A male deer can be called

stags or bucks. A female deer can be called a does or hinds and a baby can be called a fawn or a calf.



How do deers eat and what is their height?


Deers chew the cud like cows: they chew food again, after first partially digesting it in a special stomach.The deer's height is more than 2m.



What are Indian spotted chevrotains?


They are deers that grow no more than 60cm long. They live in Sri Lanka and have long canine teeth instead of antlers.




What is the most endangered deer?


Père David's deer of China. It got extinct in the wild in the 1930's but was later reintroduced into the wild, and its population is slowly recovering.
