RAINFOREST DIORAMA AND REPORT

Rainforests are vast amounts of greenery spread around the world in different continents. They are in these places: Australia, Brazil, Malaysia, the Philippines and much more. These rainforests cover 6% of the earths land surface. In these rainforests there are strange creatures such as the red-eyed tree frog.
This iconic creature is known for a vast abundance of strange yet fascinating things. This amphibian can shock its predator with its colour this is called startle coloration as this tree frog has a variety of different colours scaring its predator. Although this creature has no venom it certainly knows how to protect itself in the world. Many flowers that grow in rainforests cannot be found in other vast areas of land.
Rainforests get at least 250cm of rain a year (sometimes more than 450cm) hence the name. Rainforests only cover 2% of the entire earths surface; the amount is decreasing everyday. However if all the rainforests were combined into one large country it would be the ninth largest in the world. In the rainforest of Australia there is a strange fruit called the idiot fruit and it grows in the refreshing tropics of Queensland.
This plant grows small little cream white flowers with a massive seed about the same size as a human fist in fact these trees were not easy to distinguish as an abnormal tree. It has been said these trees have existed for 120 million years. Even though they may sound pleasant this tree strangely poisoned cattle -in the 1970s - as it is very toxic and contains very harmful side effects. We may have found out many interesting facts about these rainforests but many things such as deforestation and other life threatening consequences are occurring and destroying this beautiful landscape of wildlife and if we do not change what we are creating in our resplendent world then soon innocent creatures and plants will be extinct because of how we are treating our planet.
