Fitness week!

Have you ever wondered what happens when your amazing school sets up an awesome week of fun and games? I sure have, and it was one of the best things I had experienced. Read on to find out more!

Firstly, Me and my class did some elaborate activities at Beverly Park. We each played on a different game before it was time to move onto the next. My favourite game was dodgeball, because it was very challenging. All the ball came flying at me, like meteors dropping from the sky. I also thought cricket was very fun to play because it was mind-blowing; people hit the ball as far as the whole court! Unfortunately, I didn't get to participate in the last activity, which was bouncing a ball on a trampoline and trying to make your ball go the highest.

The next day, something even more exciting was about to unfold. We were going to the tennis court! I couldn't wait to play tennis with my friends at the court. When we got there, we placed our water bottles on the side, and then began to play. At first, everyone was very confused because there was 30 of us and only 5 courts. However, we eventually came the an agreement and started playing. Even though I wasn't a great fan of tennis, I still enjoyed playing with my friends, which was something I didn't get to do in my PE lesson. After an hour, we had to stop playing. I was both sad and happy. I really wanted to keep going, but I was exhausted!

On Thursday, we did an assault course, which had been blown up and put on the field. I was so excited when I saw it because it looked so fun and bewildering. When it was my turn to go on the field I was so excited. My heart was thumping in my chest. I ran up the stairs and jumped down the stairs. I felt ecstatic. Every time I went down the slide. There was also an obstacle course where you could race with your friends for who could beat the track first. I found that really fun. But the greatest activity we did was Sports Day.

On Friday afternoon, all of the year5 classes went to the field and started each task. The first one I did was the 100m sprint. I did this 3times, and became 2nd, 2nd, 1st. Next was the discus. Sadly, my friend Kavishan was taken out of sports day because he was hit on the nose by the discus. I did really bad on the discus. Next, was the egg and spoon race. I did spectacularly in this race. 1st 1st and 1st! After that, was the triple jump. Again I got a really good score and that game as well. And the penultimate task, the sack race, where we had to jump in a sack, was the most humiliating thing I had ever done. 4th, 4th and maybe 3rd. And finally we had the bean bag throw. I also did terribly in that race. And then, just like that Sports Day ended. And with that, so did Fitness Week.

Or did it...

On Monday, I went to school, not knowing sports day had not actually ended. Not yet. There was one last activity. And that was... Zorbing! It was one of the best tasks. I loved pushing my partner back and forth as they were in the zorb. And then, finally, after five days, after sports day
