Microsociety week 4

We elected our Civil Servants, decided how much tax we would have to pay and we thought as a group about what we need for our society.

This week we set up our businesses. We finally received our money, but sadly we had to pay our tax of 15 Peake Zos right after we got it. We pre-booked tables and chairs for us to work at for the whole of microsociety! It was cheap to, just 30 zos for a table and 2 chairs for a whole term. We also pre- booked licenses for us to use a pencil or a ruler etc etc.

We discussed what we would be selling, what our businesses name woul be, how much it would be to start our business and how we would advertise it. Our class said their will be a news paper coming out every week and it would cost 4 Zos to advertise in it. We also discussed that we would be able to advertise on the screen for 15 minutes at a price of 5 - 10 Zos.

We read another part of the story Notenuf and how they had started to use seeds as their currency and how they had also started to turn wheat into bread. They could either eat it or sell it for more seeds to grow into wheat to make more bread. How some people had bigger allotments fot growing seeds than others and how some immediatly traded most of their seeds for the yummy food packs such as sbtrawberry tart.

We needed to look at receipts over the weekend and see what features they have, for example a barcode and a list of all the items you bought. We did this because we are going to need to make them so our customers can give back rubbish items such as a pen with no ink, a blunt pencil or dried out slime.

We also decided on business groups (who we would work with), about the qualities we had and if we worked well together. We decided if we would be sole traders, have a boss or work in a partnership. In our class we had a lot of partnerships, we only had one group of girls with a boss. Now guess how many sole traders we had.

That's right, absolute zilch!

We thought if people would want to buy our product and what makes it special. How will we set it up and the big question what will we sell. If you're a Civil Servant what qualities do you have that make you good at that job. Finally for my most inportant question, do you or don't you do free delivery.(Hint hint)
