The Circulatory System
Arteries
Veins
Capillary
Arteries are blood vessels. They carry highly oxygenated blood away from the heart. Arteries have thick walls.
Veins are a very important part of the circulatory system. They carry de-oxygenated blood back to the heart once the arteries have taken it out. Veins have very thin walls.
These are three different parts of our circulatory system:
The capillary is an extremely small blood vessel that transports blood from the arteries to the veins. They are so small that blood vessels can only go through in single file.
