Week 1 - Scarcity

Scarcity is something that someone/they don't have enough of. In my class, we had a example of Scarcity where we would have to draw a 10 cm perimeter or a 10cm radius circle. We had six tables who had equipment, which they had to use. They weren't allowed to use their own equipment. Many groups, had experienced scarcity as they didn't have for example, a ruler or even sheets of paper.

Trading had to happen since some people couldn't do the squares or circles. The shapes would be exchanged for points. Trading happens in poor countries that don't have enough of something.

The groups had counters but they didn't equal amounts as others. Counters would exchange for 5 points. Squares would also be 5 points, circles are double. At the end, we counted the points up and Team C won. I was Team F, which was 4th place.

We are so lucky in England that we have equal amounts of everything. Some countries such as Africa don't have enough of food or drink and most likely, money.
