Prudence Courage

Justice Restraint

Prudence is the virtue that disposes practical reason to discern our true good in every circumstance and to choose the right means of achieving it;

Justice is the moral virtue that consists in the constant and firm will to give their due to God and neighbour.

Courage is always reasoned and reasonable; the person exercising fortitude is willing to put himself in danger if necessary, but he does not seek danger for danger's sake.

Restraint is the virtue that attempts to keep us from excess, and, as such, requires thebalancing of legitimate goods against our inordinate desire for them.
