New images were created in honour of the 50 year anniversary of the Apollo 11! Apollo 11 was the spacecraft that landed all the astronauts on the moon. The people boarded there were commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin, they were both American. The whole mission took 8 days, 3 hours and 18 minutes.

STAGE 1 OF THE FLIGHT:

The launch was taking place.

They orbited the Earth,it must have been a great sight!!

STAGE 3 OF THE FLIGHT:

They started the route to the moon!

STAGE 4 OF THE FLIGHT:

After nearly reaching their destination, they orbited the moon.

STAGE 5 OF THE FLIGHT:

After a rocky landing, they landed on the moon!! (We are halfway through!!)

STAGE 6 OF THE FLIGHT:

They walked on the moon!! (First time ever!)

STAGE 7 OF THE FLIGHT:

They started to leave the moon and return to Earth.
