THE BLITZ

Debris was everywhere

But the city gone

No more buildings

No more homes

Just people left alone

No more sirens

No more bombs

Will we see them again tomorrow?

The sirens started as the city lit up

The planes crept over the innocent city,

leaving a trail of bombs behind

Another bomb dropped

Leaving everyone in misery

Was this the end?

The people walk round their city afraid

Where were they to live?

Maybe the train station below

The rumours spread like poisonous Chinese whispers

The young children evacuated to the countryside

Would they like it there?

The next bombs dropped

The black smoke ran down London and suffocated innocent victims below

Families now split up some dead, some hurt, some gone...

please leave us alone we have had enough

Has Hitler done enough
