The Westbourne Chronicle

On Thursday 9th March, Year 6 set off on an amazing adventure to Sutton, to catch a bus and learn about bus safety. When they arrived they stepped onto the famous red London Bus on set off on a little journey. The classes were then given a few scenarios to see how they would react to them. The children from Trent and Tay classes feel a lot more confident about travelling on buses now and know how to deal with difficult passengers if they encounter them!

When the children returned from their Christmas holidays, they noticed there were some major changes in the infant playground. This was because 8 new classrooms were being built there! Because of this, the infants have moved into the junior playground for play times (their playground has been demolished by diggers!) Mersey class even had to move their classroom to Beverley class because their whole classroom was shaking! The builders are not just building 8 new classrooms, they are also making a breakfast club building for the mornings. The buildings have gone up very quickly. Hopefully they will be finished before the end of the year.
