On the 3rd March 2016, St. George's pupils had the chance to dress up as a character from a book that they had read, to celebrate World Book Day. This tradition was held worldwide. All of the Year 6 teachers and some of the Year 6 staff were dressed as Oompa Loompa's from the book Charlie and the Chocolate factory by Roald Dahl. It was hilarious. Then there were two Willie Wonkas, also from Charlie and the Chocolate factory, a Mrs Trunchball from Matilda by Roald Dahl, The Twits from the book of the same name by Roald Dahl, the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland and many more. The day was much enjoyed and children went out of their way to create fantastic costumes. Two of my favourites were dressed as Gangsta Granny(dressed as a girl) and another dressed as Inspector Gadget.
