M- Welcome Back to another episode of 'History at the Latest', today we'll be here with a viking chief to tell us about the famous Lindisfarne.
(studio crowd cheers)
VK- Thank you for having me here
M- The pleasure is all mine, could you give us a brief summary of Lindisfarne before answering a few questions our viewers have sent in
VK- Well, Lindisfarne can be located on the north-east coast of England
VK- We vikings settled there when we moved of to the UK
VK- It was the 8th century and probably on off the first pieces of land we settled on
VK- There they were famous for their Christianity which meant they had bucket loads of treasure to ste- I mean borrow
(studio crowd boos loudly)
VK- OH come on! We were only having a bit of fun and we needed some souvenirs after our long journey
M- Well, thank you for that explanation but our viewers have sent in a few questions

M- First question, Why did you kill all of those Monks?
VK- Because their monasteries (places they prayed , lived and worshipped) were filled with jewels and treasure for their God
VK- And although Monks didn't fight back, they got in our way so we just killed them
M- Next question, Do you know any info about the Monks and their monasteries?
VK- Why of course I do, you have to know the ins and outs of those places before you raid
VK- Monasteries were building where viking lived, prayed, worked and worshipped. Monks could read
