F2 Challenge

14.09.2016

The learning theme next week will be the colour ‘Red’.

For the challenge we ask that you go on a hunt for red objects around the home. Please encourage your child to talk about the different objects and their uses in addition to their appearance and texture. We ask that you post a list of all the objects your child finds below by making a comment.

We will be using the lists to support our learning next week. If you have any questions about posting on the challenge blog, please do come and ask to speak to Mrs O’Leary.

The children will begin the week by exploring a range of red media in order to collage a red superhero mask. We will be encouraging the children to use arange of textures as well as using the associated vocabulary to describe their finished piece. We will begin cooking sessions next week and the children willbe baking Jam Tarts. We will support the children to observe the changes thathappen to the ingredients during the baking process.

We would like to remind all parents that the children now need to be dropped off at the gate. The Foundation staff will be happy to assist any children that need a little help to come in.

Thank youto those who attended the Reading Meeting. All children should now have their reading books. The PowerPoint from the meeting can be found on the Foundation page on the School Website. Should you have any questions please speak to Mrs O’Leary or Mrs Seickell.
