Remembrance Day is about remembering

those who have fought in World Wars I and II.

The poppy is the sign of Remembrance day because when on the battlefield the soldiers had died, the poppy was the first plant to grow back (the explosion and walking over the other plants had killed them.)

It is celebrated on November 11th though it is also celebrated throughout the whole month of November
