I am

I am a tadpole in a pool of sharks,

I wonder if the walls will ever break,

I hear distance sounds of friendship,

I see people laughing and,

Always having fun,

I want that life so faraway.

I pretend I have many friendships,

I feel locked away,

I touch the words that just don't work,

I worry sometimes that I'll never make it,

To the life that I so desperately want,

I cry about the friendships that i lost long ago,

I am a tadpole in a pool of sharks.

I understand life is harsh,

I say thoughts that I just don't mean,

I dream that one I'll break free,

I try hard to create a bond,

A bound of friendship so tall and strong,

I hope that sometimes I'll actually break free,

I am a tadpole in a pool of sharks,

Lost in a fortress far from home.
