Are wind turbines good or bad?

Today, I am talking about the pros and cons of the gargantuan wind turbines. These structures are very important for the future of energy. What is your opinion on these amazing structures? Read on to find out more about wind turbines, and learn about facts for and against.

The good things about these wonderful wind turbines are,they are a renewable source of energy. The gargantuan wind turbines are a clean or green energy source, and is very safe for the environment. They do not cost a lot to operate, and do not cause greenhouse gases. Therefore, that means they do not pollute the earth we live in.Wind turbines can power 600 homes at once, because as long as the wind is blowing we will have wind energy.The price has decreased over 80% since the 1980's and will decrease even more and it only requires wind to work! They can be construced almost anywhere, and no big construction is needed to build these amazing structures.

However, some people think that wind turbines are bad beacuse, they are a big threat to wildlife like bats and birds. It could make them extinct because if they fly into the blades it will kill them. Some people find wind farms are very unsightly in the countryside, and they generate a lot of noise for the neighbouring homes and keeps them awake all night because of the noise. The turbines cost a lot of money to build. The wind can be very unpredictable so we cannot always make wind energy. The blades of wind turbines can get damaged and fall off and could badly hurt somebody and also not alot of people use wind energy in their homes. They ruin the landscape for some people and they will get fed up and move away and not use wind energy to power their homes.

In my opipinion I believe that they are amazing because it is clean and green energy and it is safe for the environment and it does not pollute the earth we live on. They are so easy to build and only requires wind to work and the wind is free to use. As long as the wind is blowing we will have wind energy. If you use wind energy you will be as happy as a dog with 3 bones but only if you use wind energy.
