We have had a great week learning about the story of 'The Little Red Hen' and the children loved making their own hen's from paper plates. We enjoyed making sandwiches for the Little Red Hen, spreading the butter and cutting the bread ourselves. They were very tasty! We also got lovely and messy making bread dough in the tough spot and mark making in the flour. We re-enacted the story together, negotiating who will play each role. We have also helped our friends with jackets, drawings, writing and our number work. It has been really lovely to see just how kind the children have been and we know that the team spirit will continue to grow!
