The old lamp

One day I was walking in the woods and all of a sudden a shimmering light behind the leaves caught my eye.

I went closer with caution wondering what it is and noticed that something was poking out of the ground. I started digging in the dirt and a gold lamp was revealed. I was so surprised that such a precious thing was lying on the mud in the middle of the forest

I started rubbing the lamp to get the dirt off and suddenly a poof of smoke came out. I was knocked down with a feather when I saw the shape of a person floating in the middle of the blue smoke.

I was rooted to the spot as I heard a voice calling me master and saying,

' You have three wishes, what are your choices ? ' I felt like princess Jasmin from the book I read last summer.

He had all ears on what I was going to say and at the drop of a hat I said my first wish. I wished for a giant ice cream and magically it appeared in my hand.

While I was enjoying my ice cream, I thought about my second wish. My second wish was to have a unicorn as a pet, and I was really stupefied to see that from a sparkling cloud a flying unicorn appeared.

I was so happy that my dreams came true and I was busy thinking about my last wish when I realized that the genie had an upset expression. I decided to talk to him and discovered that he was living in that lamp without family and friends for hundreds of years. I felt sad for him so I decided that for my last wish I make him a real person. He was so surprised when I told him that and happily he granted my wish.

Although I was happy with my granted wishes my heart was fulfilled when I saw the happiness of the genie. Today we are friends and live happily together.
