Hello,

My name is Xhya and I am going to tell you about our magnificent project...THE GREAT FIRE OF GREENFORD !

Our Topic has been about the Great fire of London. My homework was to build a precise Tudor house the size of your hand no bigger then that, for the great fire of Greenford. My class 5AS and class 5AT's teachers MRS Stewart and MRS Tigg had planned this all. To re-create the Great fire of London we would have to burn our lovely houses, which at first made me feel a bit sad but after a while it made me feel ecstatic. So during the half term I made my house out of Cardboard, to bring to school for Monday.

When we all returned back to school, we went over the risks of the fire and what the cautions would be just in case it got out of hand. Apprehensively, Wednesday came ready for the Great fire of Greenford!

Swiftly and Briskly, my wonderful teacher MRS Stewart asked Lily, Hitesh, Kyra and I to carry the houses outside into the main playground after break. Thankfully we all laid them out carefully without dropping any of the exhilarating and astonishing houses. After that MRS Tigg and MRS Stewart lit the first house, then as soon as that one tiny flame touched Dion's house instantaneously the whole block of houses turned into an inferno. I felt tremendous. I could see the bright red embers of fire flying above in the dull grey sky. Conflagration smelt like a BBQ. Every breath I took the smoke consumed my lungs. I could hear the crackling and scrunching of the no longer astonishing houses being destroyed by the Fire!!

Nevertheless, the formidable Great Fire of Greenford started to cease. I felt brilliant that I was able to have this once in a lifetime experience.Mr O put the fire out and we lined up all happy, cheerful and jolly ready to go back inside.

Thank you for reading my blog. xx
