Looking ahead
by Mr Spencer
So we are going to have a little bit of time at home,
But I’m sure you’ll be all keeping in touch on your phones.
The blog will be updated daily,
So Muhammad can post a meme (or eighty).
It’s actually not that many days you’re going to miss,
Just five to be precise.
Google Meet every morning
Just so we can see Jasmin yawning.
I’m sure Johara will show us her baby brother
And David will tell us a scientific fact he learnt from his mother.
Sebastian will inform us if he’s found any cookies
Whilst Mayar will let us know something amazing about bees.
What will be Rio’s background I wonder?
Will George’s stomach be rumbling with hunger?
Maybe Milan’s Christmas tree will still be up
And Samar will unload the dishwasher again, cup by cup.
I can’t wait to be back on the 12th,
We have an unbelievable amount to look forward to.
Aryan says, ‘I agree!’
But Martin is worried about his poor knees!
Milcha, Maisie and Willow want to be birdwatchers again!
Whilst Rayan kneads to be back being the baker.
It’s going to be the best production ever!
Adelina’s solo will live on forever.
And then comes activities week,
On the Monday will be on a boat on the Thames
Hopefully Roman and Pepe won’t need a leak
As we travel to the Cutty Sark with all our friends.
Tuesday will be great - bowling and trampolining out West
Before coming back to school to rest.
When bowling, I can imagine there being a brilliant contest
Between Ali and Ismail the… I can’t remember.
The sleepover will see us asleep by six,
Julia will be snoring, Analise predicts.
Rumour has it Elie talks in his sleep,
And Feja sleepwalks thinking she’s a sheep.
Like before, Wednesday sees us take on water sports,
Genesis and Marina were pro kayakers back then
So perhaps they could offer some support
And then hopefully Max won’t fall in again.
On Thursday we take the trip to Go Ape
To try and climb trees as well as Taien and Tahllia’s cat
It’s a great way to stay in shape
We just don’t want to hear the sound SPLAT!
On the final day of the two weeks, we’ll say our goodbyes
And remember how you’ve all been so courageous
Thinking about what an incredible year it’s been
Or as Timothy would say, ‘Outrageous!’
