'Oliver's Milkshake'

We wish to offer a warm welcome back after the Easter holiday. The Summer term has begun and the children have had a super first week. The story 'Oliver's Milkshake' was enjoyed by everybody. The children really loved making their own healthy strawberry milkshake, although the taste test gave mixed results! We talked about why it tasted different from ones that you could by in restaurants and the difference of course was sugar. We know we need to brush our teeth to keep them healthy and clean, especially if we have had something with lots of sugar in. We have been talking lots about ways to stay healthy this week and how to find ways to eat lots of fruit and vegetables as well as eating foods that help us grow and give us good long lasting energy. We found that when we sorted the foods into healthy and unhealthy, the healthy foods were brighter and more exciting to look at. We can't wait to make our fruit salad next week! We also had some special visitors who did lots of different activities with us. It's been a great first week back!
