We were visited by Amy Smith, an Olympic swimmer who came to talk to us about her sport. She coached every year group in an exercise workshop which was really hard work! During the assembly, she showed us the medals that she won and answered lots of questions.

Soar Valley Football Festival

5 teams entered the festival which Sandfield won by winning all their matches, We also managed to keep a clean slate by not letting in any goals!

Tigers Rugby 4 all Festival for Year 5

We took 2 teams to compete in this festival for Year 5 who have just completed a 6 week course of coaching by the Leicester Tigers. 3 schools took part each sending 2 teams. Sandfield 'A' team won the competition,winning all of their matches. The B team came 3rd, winning 3, drawing 1, losing 2

Pooja Patel was awarded 'Girl Player of the Festival' receiving a Tigers rugby ball as a prize.
