The Story of Geometry Dash

There was once a king who thought that making people jump over triangles and squares would be funny. His name was King Vertex The Pointy. He was king of Alyria, a beautiful, rich and plentiful land in central Asia. He invited brave people from all over the world to try his brutal challenge.

You would be put inside a box and made to jump over triangles and squares on twenty four obstacle courses, each getting progressively harder. If you failed, you were decapitated! But if you won, you could choose to have anything you wanted in the whole of Alyria.

Years went by and hundreds of people were killed. Still, no winner. After forty years of this, even King Vertex was getting bored of killing people and he shortened the challenge by one course every year until there were only ten courses left.

One day, a poor miner's daughter, whose family had never known wealth, came from Africa and declared that she would try the king's challenge. She bounced over blocks and tiptoed over triangles until she completed all ten courses. The clever young girl, when asked what she wanted, said, "I demand your crown and to be Queen of Alyria." The king was taken aback by this unexpected demand yet, as the king wished to keep his promise, he glumly agreed.

Queen Nubia reigned as a firm but fair monarch in the kingdom of Alyria. Alyria became one of the most admired nations in the world. In memory of the people who died, Queen Nubia commissioned a computer game to be created. The game was called Geometry Dash.
