Phonics next. Start with our phonics song and actions. Next, go onto Phonics Play website and play Flashcards Speed Trail, Caterpillars do Phase 2, Butterflies do Phase 3.
Butterflies, you revised the 'W/w' phoneme yesterday with Mr Thorne and searched around the house for objects featuring the 'W/w' phoneme. Today I'd like you to practise writing words that feature the 'W/w' phoneme. Get an adult to dictate the following words and I'd like you to write a list, what is special about a list?
'W/w' words for you to write in a list, sound it out and write it down: web, wag, will, cobweb, wolf, wood.
Next, choose one of the words from your list and write a simple sentence using your phonics mat.
