Cystadleuaeth Treftadaeth

Yn Ysgol Penboyr, rydym yn rhoi cynnig ar lawer o wahanol gystadlaethau. Mae’r disgyblion yn elwa ar gael cymryd rhan mewn prosiectau amrywiol sy’n creu amgylchedd dysgu cyffrous ar draws y cwricwlwm, sy’n hyrwyddo’r Cwricwlwm Cymreig ac sydd o ddiddordeb mawr iddyn nhw eu hunain. Rydym fel ysgol wedi bod yn cystadlu’n llwyddiannus iawn yng ngystadleuaeth y dreftadaeth ers blynyddoedd bellach, e.e. William Morgan a Nel Bach y Bwcs ……………….

Mae cystadlaethau’r dreftadaeth yn cynnig cyfle i ddisgyblion gymryd rhan yn y gymuned ac i ddangos eu doniau a defnyddioeu sgiliau.  Er mwyn sicrhau bod pob plentyn yn cael cyfle i gymryd rhan, rydyn ni’n amrywio rhwng rhoi cyfle i ddisgyblion CA1 a CA2 neu rhwng gwahanol grwpiau blwyddyn, gan ddibynnu ar y prosiect. O bryd i’w gilydd fe fyddwn ni’n creu prosiect fel ysgol gyfan.  Eleni, tro y Cyfnod Sylfaen fydd hi i gystadlu. Prosiect sy’n deillio o benblwydd yr ysgol yn150 ac sy’n son am hanes yr ysgol. Enw’r prosiect yw ‘Un, Pump, Sero’.

At Penboyr school we enter many different competitions.  These projects benefit and appeal to the pupils by creating an exciting cross curricular learning environment and a strong focus on the ‘Cwricwlwm Cymreig’.  The curriculum competitions involve community participation and an opportunity to show the pupils talents and application of skills. The school has been competing in the heritage competitions for years with great success, producing such projects as, e.g. William Morgan and Nel Fach y Bwcs …………

Heritage competitions offer opportunities for pupils to take part in the community and to showcase their talents and skills. Every child has an opportunity to be involved as we alternate between KS1 and KS2 or between different year groups depending on the project.  Occasionally we produce a whole school project. This year it is the turn of the Foundation Phase to compete. A project which stems from the school’s 150th birthday celebrations and focuses on the history of the school. The name of the project is ‘Un, Pump, Sero’.
