Year 1 Oracy Project

My Hero

As we have been learning about 'Superheroes' we thought that you could talk for 1-2 minutes about your hero. This can be someone personal to you or someone you look up to and admire. We will be allowing children to do their presentations over the 2 weeks beginning the 23rd and 30th March.

You could talk about:

-Who this hero is

-Information about your hero (when they were born, their job)

-Why they are your hero

-What do you like about them

-What they have done that makes them your role model

-Any stories or examples of why they are your hero.

A good way to start would be:

'My hero is __________'

Remember that this is YOUR hero.

You can bring in props, drawings or photographs to help you.

Success Criteria:

• I can speak loud and clear to listeners
• I can be confident
• I can make eye contact
• I can use expression when I speak
